📝 Purpose

The Inherent Risk tab allows users to upload a list of suppliers to the platform in order to receive country and industry-specific risk ratings, along with an overall ISRI risk rating. This provides customers with a baseline assessment of each supplier's potential risk level prior to engagement or the distribution of Self-Assessment Questionnaires (SAQs).

‘Inherent risk’ refers to risk ratings based on the country and industry where the supplier operates. This is different from ‘residual risk,’ which assesses risks related to a supplier’s specific business operations through SAQ forms.

Bureau Veritas provides the risk ratings, conducting both qualitative and quantitative assessments each year to determine modern slavery risk levels by country and industry. For more information, please click here.

🛠️ Prerequisites

Ensure that supplier names and identifiers match existing records before adding or updating profiles to avoid incomplete data.

(a) ISRI Risk Ratings metrics

Suppliers who have been inherently risk-assessed based on the country and industry assigned to their supplier profile.

Clicking on any ISRI rating figure filters the dashboard to display supplier profiles with the specific risk rating.

  • Uncategorised = This figure shows suppliers missing country or industry data, so an ISRI risk rating cannot be calculated.

  • Very Low = Suppliers with minimal country and industry risk, averaging to a ‘Very Low’ ISRI rating.

  • Low = Suppliers with low combined country and industry risk, resulting in a ‘Low’ ISRI rating.

  • Medium = Suppliers with moderate country and industry risk, leading to a ‘Medium’ ISRI rating.

  • High = Suppliers with significant country and industry risk, resulting in a ‘High’ ISRI rating.

  • Very High = Suppliers with very high combined country and industry risk, giving a ‘Very High’ ISRI rating.

(b) Average Supplier Risk Gauge Chart

Allows you to see the overall ISRI Risk Rating for all assessed suppliers.

(c) Supplier Risk Pie Chart

A visual representation of the various types of risks associated with suppliers and their relative impact or likelihood. It helps organizations quickly see which areas of supplier risk are most significant, so they can prioritize management efforts.

(d) World Map

A visual tool that shows geographical locations of suppliers and highlights risks associated with those regions. It combines supply chain data with regional risk factors to help organizations understand where their vulnerabilities lie across the globe.

(e) Add Suppliers - Organisation Import

You can quickly add a single supplier or import a bulk list of suppliers by clicking on Add Supplier.

(f) Suppliers Table

Lists all your imported suppliers in a tabular view.
