🔍 Purpose

This guide explains how to use Report Widgets in the Modern Slavery Dashboard - Reports tab to create dashboards that are clear, interactive, and tailored to your reporting needs.

By following this guide, you’ll learn how to:

  • Create and customise reports - Add or edit reports, choose from available widgets, and populate them with supplier data to visualise insights effectively.

  • Apply filters and settings - Refine your reports with custom filters and display options to highlight the information that matters most.

  • Build interactive dashboards - Combine multiple widgets into a single, easy-to-read view that makes trends and patterns easier to understand and share.

Using these tools, you can design reports that surface key insights, improve reporting efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making across your team and stakeholders.

(a) How to Add a Report

1. Navigate to the Reports tab under the Modern Slavery Dashboard. Click Edit Reports.

2. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Click on Add Report

3. Set Up Your Report Widget.

  • Select Chart Type: Choose your preferred chart type (e.g., Trend, Bar, Pie, Line).

  • Enter Title and Subtitle fields.

  • Select the question you want to display as a visual chart.

The following steps will change depending on the selected chart type. For more information, please see below:

(a.1.) Which chart should I use to visualise our data?

Here are our recommendations for chart types based on the number of years’ worth of data you want to visually demonstrate.

Chart Types

One year’s worth of data

Two or more years’ worth of data

Trend Chart

Bar Chart

Pie Chart / Donut Chart

Line Chart / Area Chart

4. Toggle on/off the Additional Settings for Trend Chart as required.

Note: The available options will vary based on the chart type you select (e.g., trend, bar, pie, or line) and the question type linked to the data being visualised.

Enable Consortium Benchmark

Toggle on displaying a dotted trend, using data from across the consortium / platform.

*Note: only applicable on consortium applications.

Enable Breakdown Table

Toggle displaying a breakdown table which contains all of the answers use to build the report.

Show Percentage

Toggle displaying the percentage of all answers, or the amount over a given reporting period.

Full Width Report

Toggle displaying a chart that spans the full width of the page. Recommended when answers are too long to fit in a small report widget.

5. Once setup is complete, click Add Report. Your new report widget will now appear in the dashboard.

4. Toggle on/off the Additional Settings for Bar Chart as required.

Note: The available options will vary based on the chart type you select (e.g., trend, bar, pie, or line) and the question type linked to the data being visualised.

Enable Breakdown Table

Toggle displaying a breakdown table which contains all of the answers use to build the report.

Show Percentage

Toggle displaying either the percentage of all answers, or the amount over a given reporting period.

Display as Horizontal Bar Chart

Toggle displaying as a horizontal bar chart.

Sort and Group Chart Data

Use this option to simplify large data sets by grouping smaller values together. This helps you focus on the most important data points and quickly identify high-value insights.

Use the dragging slider to select how many of the top 2 to 5 data sets are displayed, with all remaining values automatically grouped into a single category.

Toggled OFF

Full Width Report

Toggle displaying a chart that spans the full width of the page. Recommended when answers are too long to fit in a small report widget.

5. Once setup is complete, click Add Report. Your new report widget will now appear in the dashboard.

(b) How to Edit a Report

1. Navigate to the Reports tab under the Modern Slavery Dashboard. Click Edit Reports.

2. Scroll down to locate your report. Click the pencil icon beside it to open editing options.

Note: If you are using a consortium application and do not see the pencil icon, it means the chart was created by the Informed 365 team for the entire consortium. These charts are shared across all consortium members and cannot be edited.

3. Click Update Report once you’ve made your changes.

You can make changes as often as needed until the report reflects your requirements.

(c) How to Export the chart to an image/print

1. Navigate to the Reports tab under the Modern Slavery Dashboard

2. Scroll down to locate your report. Click the three-dot icon

3. Choose the type of image you’d like to export, or select the option to directly print the chart.

  • Available formats may include PNG or JPG, depending on your export settings.

  • Once selected, the system will generate the image or open the print preview window.

(d) Exploring the breakdown table below the chart and exporting to CSV

1. Navigate to the Reports tab under the Modern Slavery Dashboard

2. Scroll down to locate your report. Click View Breakdown

3. A table will appear below, displaying data for the organisations that responded to the selected questionnaire.

4. Click Manage Columns to customise the table view by adding or removing your preferred columns.

5. Use the arrow-down icon to download the selected chart report.

6. A pop-up message will appear confirming that the report download was successful. You will also receive an email notification with the download link.

7. The email you receive will include a link to complete the report download. Click the link to access and save the CSV file.

(e) How to Delete a Report

1. Navigate to the Reports tab under the Modern Slavery Dashboard. Click Edit Reports.

2. Scroll down to locate your report. Click the delete icon

Note: If you are using a consortium application and do not see the delete icon, it means the chart was created by the Informed 365 team for the entire consortium. These charts are shared across all consortium members and cannot be deleted.

3. Click OK to confirm deletion.

4. The chart will be deleted from view.
